I misread the recipe and put 1/2 c butter in each cake and crumb but completely didn't damage the cake - simply cooked a bit longer. The oats gave the crumb a bit of extra substance, too, which we cherished. Didn’t peel the apples and it doesn’t trouble me, however makes it somewhat extra messy to eat.
